The negotiated price isn't your copay. Your Part D plan sets your deductible, copays and coinsurance, so check your own plan's 2027 costs. CMS estimates people with Part D coverage would save about $685 million in out-of-pocket costs under the standard benefit design.
What It Means for Ozempic, Wegovy and Rybelsus
Ozempic, Rybelsus and Wegovy share one negotiated price of $274 for a 30-day supply.
If you take a GLP-1 drug like Ozempic for type 2 diabetes, you get it through your Part D plan. Your cost in 2027 depends on that plan. In 2027, the standard Part D deductible rises to $700, and the out-of-pocket cap rises to $2,400, after which you pay nothing more for covered drugs that year. Our Part D guide explains how the 2027 cap works.

What About Wegovy for Weight Loss?
The negotiated price is separate from Medicare's temporary GLP-1 Bridge, which covers Wegovy, Foundayo and the KwikPen version of Zepbound for weight loss for a $50 monthly copayment through December 31, 2027. It has its own eligibility rules, including body mass index requirements, and people with type 2 diabetes aren't eligible for it because their Part D plan may cover their GLP-1 instead. Our guide to the GLP-1 Bridge explains who qualifies and how to get started.
